Safety segregation


Storage and dosing areas can be physically separated

by a partition wall. Raw materials with different hazard

classifications or flash points can also be segregated

into dedicated compartments, simplifying compliance

with industrial safety requirements,

including ATEX where applicable.

Heated & refrigerated variants


For raw materials that are solid or highly viscous at room

temperature, heated racks with dual temperature control keep

the product fluid in storage and maintain the required temperature

through the valves and dosing line. Refrigerated versions can also

be provided for temperature-sensitive materials.

One Lot, One container


Each container can be sized to hold an entire incoming

raw-material lot, preventing different lots from being mixed.

This ensures full lot traceability, accurate real-time inventory

and ignificantly reduces the need to store partially used drums.

Continuous nitrogen blanketing also helps minimize oxidation

and external contamination.

Construction


Containers are manufactured from standard stainless-steel tubes,

optionally polished, and closed with welded dished ends fitted with

the required process connections. Diameter and length are selected

according to the required storage volume, keeping construction

simple and cost-effective.

Overview


The system is built from modular racks fitted with

horizontal raw-material containers made from

standard stainless-steel tubes in different

diameters and lengths. The dosing line runs

along the front of the rack, while the automatic

refilling system runs along the back.

Modular Storage Racks

Capacity


A standard rack, 2.20 m wide and 2.20 m high, accommodates

around 40 containers with a 50 mm valve pitch — an ideal

configuration for manual dosing, with clear valve identification

and minimal risk of operator error. Staggered valves or two-level

arrangements can significantly increase capacity when required.

Individual containers can range from 10 litres to over 8,000 litres,

depending on the selected valve size and storage requirements.

Modular Mixing Room Layout


The number of raw-material containers can be adapted

to the required plant capacity. Multiple rack modules can

be installed side by side, with approximately 60 cm service

corridors where required for inspection and easy cleaning.

A partition wall can also separate the storage area from the

dosing area when additional safety segregation is needed.

Stacked Rack System


Two rack modules can be vertically stacked and can almost double

storage capacity without increasing the floor footprint.

The lower level is serviced from the floor, while the upper

level is accessed from an elevated platform.

This configuration requires approximately 4.5–5 m

of building height.

Transport & installation


Rack height and width are kept within 2.20 m, allowing complete

modules to be transported in standard road or sea freight containers

and installed in production rooms with ceilings below 3 m.

A 6 m rack length is particularly cost-effective,

as standard commercial tubes are commonly supplied

in 6 m lengths. Other lengths can be manufactured to suit

specific project requirements.

Racks can be delivered fully assembled, requiring only nitrogen

and external vent connections on site,

which allows installation to be completed within just a few days.

For standard container transport, raw-material vessels

can reach up to approximately 10 m in length and 1 m in diameter,

providing capacities of around 8,000 litres
